1. Internal Gear Pumps (The Industry Standard)The Internal Gear Pump is often the first choice for molasses due to its robust design and ability to handle high viscosity efficiently.
How it works: Uses a "gear-within-a-gear" principle. As gears unmesh, they create a vacuum that pulls molasses in; as they mesh, they force it out.

Rotary Lobe Pumps are preferred when hygiene or gentle handling is critical.
